Ok, as I am sure everyone knows, Foxfields is this Saturday! No doubt it will be a blast- it is always a highlight of my spring. However, this year I am considering changing up a few important elements. They are listed as follows:
1. Drinks.
Last year, we went with a college girl staple, boxed wine. While it goes down rather smoothly, I had a horrendous headache all afternoon while sobering up.
This year I want to try pregaming with some of these adorable cocktails. A ramos fizz is frothy and fun. My dad made me one once and it was delish. The problem with the drink is that it needs a blender to be super frothy. Maybe we can make a pitcher and drink them before we leave?
Here is the recipe:
1 1/2 oz gin2 tbsp cream1/2 oz fresh lemon juice1 fresh egg white1/4 oz club soda1 tbsp powdered sugar3-4 drops orange flower water1/2 oz fresh lime juice
Add the ingredients except club soda to a chilled mixer and shake for at least one minute. Strain into a thin goblet and top off with chilled club soda, to taste.

2. Dress.
I love Lilly Pulitzer dresses. The prints are bright and girly. Also, I think they have a very flattering cut. Unfortunately, everyone at FF loves Lilly, especially, my favorite style, the "Audrey". The dress issue is going to be decided by the end of the week.
3. Plot Section
This year we are chilling in the swanky alumni section. No more student section with frat boys peeing in troughs! I have no idea what to expect- I am thinking I will see more of this:
And less of this?
I dunno, but I can't wait to find out.
In conclusion, I am taking this week to do some important stuff! Like, maybe buy a new dress and all the ingredients to make my delicious gin drink!

I think we should get fancier boxed wine this year. I have been scoping out the possibilities.
Yeah, now that you guys are alum you should up the quality of your drink. Boxed wine is so 2004.

I'm so excited about FF it's sick. Definitely going to be some good times. That cocktail sounds yummy...but if we all drink them before, who's gonna drive the car?

I am going to have to be the dissenter on this fizz cocktail business. I think it sounds sort of gross. I don't really like creamy alcoholic drinks though.
